Blanche Whiteside Greene Bolden was born on March 10, 1929 in Jones Prairie, Texas. She departed this earth on March 9, 2017 in Fresno, CA . She was the daughter of Albert Whiteside Sr. and Para Line Whiteside who both preceded her in death. In 1943 Blanche graduated from Pleasant Grove Elementary School in Jones Prairie, Texas. In 1947 she graduated from OJ Thomas High School Cameron, Texas. In high school Blanche played basketball, ran track and in 1943 she was a member of the Miss OJ Thomas High School Home Coming Queen recognition. 1948...

Blanche Whiteside Greene Bolden was born on March 10, 1929 in Jones Prairie, Texas. She departed this earth on March 9, 2017 in Fresno, CA . She was the daughter of Albert Whiteside Sr. and Para Line Whiteside who both preceded her in death. In 1943 Blanche graduated from Pleasant Grove Elementary School in Jones Prairie, Texas. In 1947 she graduated from OJ Thomas High School Cameron, Texas. In high school Blanche played basketball, ran track and in 1943 she was a member of the Miss OJ Thomas High School Home Coming Queen recognition. 1948 Blanche graduated from Madam C. J. Walker Cosmetology School, Dallas Texas, where she worked as a cosmetology operator. In 1949 she entered a Nursing Program at Community Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. While attending Nursing School she worked in a knit factory. On December 24, 1956 Blanche relocated to Los Angeles, California, where she worked in Samaritan Hospital, and the Register doing Private duty nursing. In 1985 Blanche worked with the Outreach Program in Fresno, California, and continued to work until her health start failing.

Blanche and siblings grew up on their parent's ranch in Jones Prairie, Texas. At the age of 10 years old she joined Peasant Grove Baptist Church in Jones Prairie, Texas, where she sang in the choir, was a Junior Usher, member of Baptist Youth Program Union (BYPU), and attended Sunday school on a routine basis. Blanche is preceded in death by her sister Rosetta Whiteside: Four brothers, Hobert Love, Fred Love, Captain Albert Whiteside, Jr. Retired, an Original Tuskegee Airman and Alfred Whiteside.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Lisle Funeral Home, 1605 "L" Street Fresno, CA 93721.
