Harry was raised in the same town where he spent most of his 101 years for going a life rich in love and positivity felt by the Fowler community and beyond. Blessed with good health, Harry exemplified the values which he held dear. Holding a positive attitude highlighted by honesty, laughter, and optimism, along with a mind and body kept equally fit through daily exercise, he was a man who never hesitated to help those in need.

Harry married Miyo just prior to WWII, and stood by her side in the Gila River internment camp in Arizona before moving to Chicago where he gained the training which would lead him to join his brother Yosh at the Honda Auto Parts & Garage, a decades long landmark in Fowler CA, where he continued to work daily until the age of 93.

Having well rounded interests and talents, Harry and Miyo participated in competitive ballroom dancing for years. He was active with the Fowler Judo club, the JACL, and the Buddhist Church. His biggest joys were his 8 grandchildren and two great grandchildren whose company always placed a warm smile on his face.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Buddhist Church of Fowler located 210 South 9th St, Fowler, CA.
