Muriel, a loving mother, sister and grandmother left us to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, September 14, 2017. Her loving spirit was present until her final hour.

Muriel was born in Fresno, CA., February 27, 1930 to Tharold and Doris Miller. In her teenage years, she enjoyed working in her dad's drug store, especially in the soda fountain. Muriel graduated from Fresno High School and attended Fresno State University where she was a member if Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Muriel spent most of her life as a homemaker, but she had previously worked at PG &E part-time in model homes promoting gas appliances, She later worked the optical department at Lens Crafters and was a favorite to many customers. Muriel was a member of the University Presbyterian Church, where she participated in the bell choir and enjoyed tutoring the neighborhood children.

Muriel was preceded in death by her husband Tom Sr., who passed away in 2013 and her daughter Debbie, who passed away suddenly in 1970 at the age of 18 and brother Jim Miller.

She is survived by her two sons, Tom II of Fresno his wife Naomi and grandchildren Chris and Kaylee and her youngest son David of Atwater, his wife Frances and her children Bryce, Justin and his wife Jenny, Nathan Mc Lelland and sister Pat Sommers and great grandchildren Josie, James, Charlie and Benjamin. Muriel had a passion for bringing people together by opening her home to family, friends, neighbors and members of her church for dinner and entertainment. In fact, an invitation to the house was a guaranteed ticket to joyous laughter and great food. Whenever you come over to the Laub's house, you were sure to come early and leave late. Muriel touched so many people in her life from years spent in Modesto, Sacramento and Fresno. She will be deeply missed by all.

A Memorial Service and celebration of life will be held at the University Presbyterian Church in Fresno on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 am.
